Benchmark indices traded lower for the fourth continuous trading session weighed down by pharma shares mainly over the report that US prosecutors could file charges by year-end in a criminal investigation of generic makers over suspected price collusion. Moreover the weak global cues also kept the nifty lower throughout the trading session. The Nifty ended the session to close at 8458. Hcltech, ITC and Tata Motors DVR were the top gainers of the day while Sun pharma, Dr reddy and Infratel were the top losers of the day.
