Benchmark indices traded higher on the third trading session of the week breaking the four day losing streak on account of supportive global cues recovery in crude oil prices however the market is expected to remain volatile ahead of F&O expiry due tomorrow. Nifty ended the session to close 8745.15 i.e. 38.75 points higher.
Eicher Motors, Hindalco, IDEA and Tata Steel were the top gainers of the day Reliance, TECHM, Coal India were the top losers of the day.
Global Markets Update:
- Nike Inc’s future orders missed analysts’ estimates for the third time in a row, as the world’s largest footwear maker struggles with increasing competition from Under Armour Inc and a resurgent Adidas in North America.
- Asian shares were mixed on Wednesday with Tokyo down on comments that suggested further policy action to boost the economy.
