Benchmark indices traded lower on the very first trading session of the week as investors turned cautious ahead of upcoming corporate earning session as weak start of earning session with Infosys result disappointed the investors. The weak global cues as soft US economic data hurt investor sentiment already frayed by worries over North Korea and upcoming French elections has also dampened the sentiment. Nifty ended the session to close at 9166.25. Realty stocks were the major gainers of the day while Pharma and Metal stocks were the losers for the day.

Ant Financial raises its offer for MoneyGram International to ~$1.2B, winning the backing of MGI’s board as it beats out a rival offer from Euronet Worldwide.
Asian stock markets end mixed, with the dollar sinking against the yen, although markets in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong, as well as most European exchanges, are closed for Easter Monday.
