After volatile session of trade, domestic bourses logged modest gains supported by positive global cues. Local stocks drifted higher in early trade and held firm in mid morning trade. Key benchmark indices trimmed gains as profit booking emerged at higher levels. Though, once again it regains strength and held firm in late trade. The market breadth was strong. The Nifty 50 gained 49.55 points and settled the day at 11134.30. Metal sector were the major gainers and private banks were the major losers of the day.
