Local stocks logged small gains in a volatile session of trade, reversing a five-day losing trend. After opening lower, the market bounced and hit fresh intraday high in early trade. Indices were unable to sustain at higher levels and re-entered negative terrain as day progressed. In late trade, Indices firmed up and managed to settle with small gains.
PSU Banks were the major gainers and Private Banks and FMCG sectors were the major losers of the day.
