Benchmark indices traded higher ahead of Diwali as domestic sentiment was buoyed as wholesale inflation fell to 2.6% in September. Higher export data in September kept the trade deficit to seven months low. Global market sentiments also remained bullish for the day. Nifty ended the session to close at 10255. Realty and Metal stocks were the major gainers of the day while PSU bank stocks were the major losers of the day.
