In a volatile trade, domestic bourses erased early gains and settled lower as the opposition parties tabled a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. After opening higher, local stocks trimmed gains in mid morning trade and hit fresh intraday low in mid afternoon trade. The market breadth was weak. The Nifty 50 lost 27.60 points and settled the day at 10980.45. IT sector were the major gainers and Metal sector were the major loser of the day.
